Technology Overview
This device designed an assistive for visually impaired or blind people to fully navigate in open space (indoor and outdoor) without external assistance. Device emits a specific frequency sound click, which will then reflect from the surrounding objects and obstacles. As a result, device will translate the reflected sound into information on their shape, material and distance to them. After that, the returning echo activates the visual processing area in the brain of trained echo locator.
This technology solves the problem of orientation and recognition of objects by blind citizens on the street and indoors. It allows blind citizens to fully realize their opportunities for the benefit of society and solves the problem of employment of this category of citizens and their satisfaction with life.
Technology Features and Specification
Mentioned above technology consists of a bio location device, special methods of teaching the identification of surrounding objects and activation of the compass in the brain of the blind and visually impaired people. Invention consists of:
- Bio location device with amplitude, frequency and timbre settings, which is adjusted individually for each person by a special technology. The device emits a short-wave sound and received by a reception component, such as a hearing aid.
- Special methods of learning to recognize a set of surrounding objects, based on the properties: absorption, reflection, diffraction and refraction. It allows a person to learn to build images of the environment.
- A special technique for activation of the compass in the human brain, to eliminate replication and reduce the load on the brain. This allows a person to remember the position of previously recognized objects through the open compass navigation in the human brain.
With the combination of an apparatus, teaching methods and the technology for the activation of the compass in the human brain for navigation, the system gives a desired result of high-quality orientation and movement of the blind man in space.
Customer Benefits
The existing solutions generally do not provide full and safe navigation for blind and visually impaired people. As a result, it is difficult for them to determine the form and height of the objects around them.
The main advantage of the technology is to give the visually impaired people the opportunity to see this world again, be useful to society, be satisfied with life, open up new opportunities and apply them for the benefit of society and the world.
